Lahore: Security arrangements for the T20 series between Pakistan and South Africa have been finalized.


Security arrangements for the T20 series between Pakistan and South Africa have been finalized. The visiting team will arrive at Allama Iqbal Airport tomorrow at 10 am on a commercial flight, after which it will be flown to a hotel on Mall Road, which will also undergo quad testing. The meeting on security arrangements was attended by senior security officials and PCB officials. The meeting had been going on for several days but all matters were finalized on Tuesday.


Teams will be brought from the hotel to Gaddafi Stadium for training and matches under tight protocol and tight security. According to the plan, players from Pakistan and South Africa will be able to train at different times from February 5. Restaurants and shops around Gaddafi Stadium will be closed from February 4. Pakistani players will also be part of the bio-bubble from tomorrow.


Asif Ali, who is playing in Abu Dhabi T20 League, has been released by his team. He is also arriving in Lahore tomorrow. The first T20 match between Pakistan and South Africa will be played on February 11, with the remaining matches scheduled for February 13 and 14.
